Anti-Inflammatory Blueberry Smoothie

This delicious, healthy smoothie is made with blueberries, banana and chia seeds which guarantees a nutritional boost for your day. Have a glass of this goodness in the morning and your immune system will thank you big time. Blueberries are high in potassium, Vitamin C and antioxidants. Chia seeds are a concentrated source of omega-3's and have a lot of calcium and fiber. I used maple syrup to add a little sweetness, but you can skip that step. Fight inflammation in the best and tastiest way possible! 

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup frozen wild blueberries
  • 1/2 cup almond milk or water
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add more almond milk or water if necessary. I don't like my smoothies too cold, so I don't add extra ice, but if you like that, add 1/2 cup.  Serve immediately.
