Green Smoothie with Parsley
This is a recipe for my favourite green smoothie. You only need 3 ingredients and water and it takes only about 2 minutes to make. Feel free to add anything you like to it but try to keep it simple and make different combinations every day.
Ingredients for 1 pint:
- 1,5 cups of water
- half a bunch of cilantro or flat leaf parsley
- 1 medium/large apple
- 0,5 cup of pineapple chunks (can be frozen)
Blend it well and drink straight away. You can take it to work with you but remember to keep it in the fridge and shake it well before drinking.
If you are like me and you do not like parsley, please do not be put off by this recipe. I hate parsley/cilatro in any dish except a smoothie. It is so weird, I know, but for some reason it tastes really good combined with acid fruit or a banana. Please give it a try and if you still do not like it, you can substitute it with spinach.
