Papaya, Banana & Strawberry Smoothie


This winter in California has been way too long. I am craving sunshine, watermelon and cherries and I refuse to wait another couple of months :). I've been trying to make my own summer at home and started wearing flip flops and drinking lots of home made juices and smoothies. Here is one I've been enjoying lately - papaya, banana and strawberries. I've had this for breakfast and for lunch. You can add more water and make it into a juice for a snack. Smoothies are very convenient and quick meals that will satisfy you for a long time, give you a boost of energy and a variety of vitamins.

Ingredients (for 2 pints):
  • Half of papaya
  • 1 big banana
  • about 20 big strawberries
  • 2 cups of water (or more)
Obviously you can add more or less of the ingredients or make your own recipe with anything you like. Try a lot of different combinations including veggies, leafy greens and herbs and have fun with it.
