Tasty and classic dip which is my favourite go-to snack or appetizer. I have been making it for years, trying different recipes and flavours, but this first recipe I have ever written in my recipe book is my favourite. Easy to make and very nutritious, can be used in many ways, as a main dish, sandwich spread or a dip with pita chips.  

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp greek yoghurt

Place all ingredients except the chickpeas in a food processor and blend until all combined. Then add the drained chickpeas and blend for about 3-5 minutes until smooth paste. If the paste is still grainy or too thick, add more water/olive oil/yoghurt and blend more. Taste and add more salt, cumin or lemon juice to taste.
