Avocado on Sourdough Toast with Watermelon Radish



This week's post is not going to be anything extraordinary, it's just a piece of bread with a spread and some veggies. But would you just look at it, it's spectacular looking!!! And you should know it tastes good too :-). I got the idea for this post weeks ago when I went out for lunch with some friends in Los Altos. There is this cute cottage café called Bumble where they serve really tasty farm-to-table dishes, and one of them is avo on toast with watermelon radish. It was the first time I saw this type of radish, and I knew I had to haunt it down. Since then, I've been buying it every week at my farmers market, and have been making my sourdough toast with it very often. Try to find it around you and make your own beautiful sandwiches and salads.


Ingredients:
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 watermelon radish
  • few pieces of sourdough bread
  • lemon juice
  • salt
  • chia and sesame seeds

Peel the avocado and mash it with some salt and lemon juice.

Toast the bread to your liking.

Spread the avocado mash over the bread generously and decorate with radish slices, chia- , sesame seeds and some more salt if needed.

Serve immediately.
